The VMIVME-2536 VMIC 32 channel optically coupled digital I/O board has 32 optically coupled inputs and 32 optically coupled outputs.Both output and input have the ability to be established in testing,and provide a sustainable 1kV system isolation VME bus backplane.
The VMC device array is a series of equipment initially developed and manufactured by General Electric’s automation industry department,which was later acquired by the industrial automation group Abaco Systems.The functions of the VMIC device circuit include a converter board(digital to analog,analog to digital),a series of central processing units,and a series of analog and digital input and output boards.
The unit is VMIV-2536,which is a digital input and output board designed with optical coupling for input and output ports and equipped with a series of 32 channels.The input/output is designed with optical coupling and also has built-in testing capabilities,allowing a self diagnostic and analytical program to run and evaluate the Vmivme-2536 model.
The input of this unit enters test mode by placing a bit in the control and status register.In test mode,the data placed in the onboard test register is read through the input port,rather than through field data.The test register is located at the same address as the input data port,allowing testing to be completed by simply writing and reading from the data port.This function can be used for online and offline testing.
The VMIV-2536 device can provide 1 kV system isolation.The input range is 5 to 125 volts DC,followed by a sinking output of 300 milliamperes,with a maximum output voltage of 50 volts.
