The General Electric Fanuc/VMIAC-5595GB/S Reflective Memory Hub is a managed hub designed to operate using the General Electric Fanuc/VMIC5565 family reflective memory real-time network product.When the reflective memory hub detects signal loss or loss of effective synchronization mode,it can automatically bypass the port,allowing other nodes in the network to continue running.Due to the fact that optical ports are implemented using small form factor pluggable(SFP)transceivers,only the required ports need to be filled.Virus-5595SFP transceivers can be a combination of multi-mode(short distance)or single mode(long distance)transceivers.This feature can save costs and achieve system optimization in small networks.For larger networks,several Vmiacc-5595 components can be cascaded,allowing a hosting center with up to 256 nodes.Each port regenerates a serial optical signal,eliminating issues of insertion loss and cable attenuation.Signal regeneration can also reduce tremors.The RS232 port provides the ability to monitor and control reflective memory networks through a simple PC serial port.The Ethernet port function allows users to monitor and control hubs from afar through a local area network or network browser.The Ethernet port function allows users to monitor and control hubs from afar through a local area network or network browser.The Ethernet port function allows users to monitor and control hubs from afar through a local area network or network browser

When it is detected that there is no valid synchronization mode,VMIAC-5595 will automatically bypass the port.Three light emitting diodes near each port provide visual indication of port status.Additional status flags and operating modes can be obtained through serial or Ethernet ports.
The status information includes detection of installed transceivers,detection signals(optical),detection of effective synchronization modes,and port operating speed(2GB/s).The control register allows channel bypass based on the lack of an effective synchronization mode or multiple synchronization modes.Bypass can also be simply based on loss of signal(light).In addition,regardless of the status indicators,each port can be manually forced to run or bypassed.
