VMIVME-7750 introduces the Intel Pentium III processor into VME,providing processor speeds up to 1.26 GHz.The Pentium III processor has 32-bit addressing and 64 bit data bus.Its superscalar architecture allows for the execution of three instructions per clock cycle.Dynamic branch prediction unit,independent instruction and data caching,and MMX™The technology has also improved the performance of the processor.The Pentium III processor also provides 256 KB(512 KB at 1.26 GHz)of advanced transfer cache(full speed on chip level 2 cache),using a dual independent bus architecture for high bandwidth and performance.The L2 cache runs at the same clock frequency as the processor,thereby improving performance.DRAM memory:VMIVME-7750 accepts a 144 pin SDRAMSODIMM with a maximum memory capacity of 512 megabytes.DRAM is a dual port to VME.BIOS:the system and video BIOS are provided in programmable flash memory.Super VGA controller:VMIVME-7750 built-in 815E chipset AGP graphics adapter,supporting high-resolution graphics and multimedia quality video.This adapter is implemented by a 4 megabyte external synchronous DRAM cache with a high bandwidth 64 bit data interface.The graphics adapter supports a screen resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 x 256 colors(single view mode).
The VMIVME-7750 of VMIC is a fully functional Pentium III compatible computer that features a single slot,passive cooling,Eurocard form factor,advanced technology from the Intel 815E chipset,and runs at a front-end bus speed of 133 MHz.VMIVME-7750 complies with VME specification Rev.C1 and has a transparent PCI to VME bridge,allowing the board to act as a system controller or peripheral CPU in multi CPU systems.
