1.Basic Overview

The Vibro-meter VM600 IOC4T is an input/output card designed for machinery protection and basic condition monitoring.It works with the Meggitt VM600 series MPC4 machinery protection card to achieve effective monitoring and protection of mechanical equipment.

2.Main Features

Input and output interface:

With 4 dynamic signal inputs and 2 tachometer(speed)inputs,it is used to receive raw dynamic(vibration)and speed signals from sensors.

All input/output connections are made using screw terminal connectors(48 terminals in total),which is convenient for wiring and maintenance.

Signal processing and output:

The received sensor signal is connected to the MPC4 for processing and the processed signal is transmitted back to the IOC4T.

Four onboard digital-to-analog converters(DACs)provide calibrated signal outputs in the range of 0 to 10V.

Four onboard voltage-to-current converters provide current output signals in the range of 4 to 20mA(jumper optional).

Programmable Outputs:

Provides 32 fully programmable open collector outputs(jumper selectable)that can be connected to IRC4 and RLC16 relay cards.

Allows users to program and configure according to actual needs to meet specific machinery protection and condition monitoring requirements.

Electromagnetic Protection:

Provides electromagnetic interference(EMI)protection for all inputs and outputs and complies with electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)standards.

Real-time card swapping(hot-swappable)allows users to replace or upgrade IOC4T cards without powering down the system.

Alarm and Relay Functions:

Contains four local relays that can be used for any specific alarm signal under software control.

For example,it can be used to issue an MPC4 fault signal or a problem signal detected by a common alarm(sensor normal,alarm and danger).

The 32 digital signals representing the alarm are transmitted to the rack backplane and can be used by the optional RLC16 relay card and/or IRC4 intelligent relay card installed in the rack.

Filtering:filtering to prevent electromagnetic interference,in compliance with European Community(EC)standards.

Alarm reset(AR):The alarm locked by the MPC4/IOC4T card pair can be reset(cleared)by the closed contact between the DSI AR and DSI RET inputs.

Danger bypass(DB):The hazard relay output can be suppressed(bypassed)by the closed contact between the DSI DB and DSI RET inputs.

Trip multiplication(TM):The alarm level is multiplied by a proportional coefficient(configurable by software)by the closed contact between the DSI TM and DSI RET inputs to achieve adaptive monitoring.
