1.Product Overview
As the signal interface for the VM600 series MPC4 mechanical protection card,the Vibro-Meter IOC4T is installed at the rear of the VM600 rack and is directly connected to the rack backplane via two connectors.Each IOC4T card is associated with a corresponding MPC4 card and mounts directly behind the VM600 chassis(ABE04x or ABE056).

Signal interface:
With 4 dynamic signal inputs and 2 tachometer(speed)inputs for MPC4 mechanical protection cards.
Four on-board digital-to-analog converters(DACs)provide calibrated signal outputs in the 0 to 10V range.
Four on-board voltage-to-current converters provide current output signals in the 4 to 20 mA range(jumper selectable).
Input and output connections:
All input/output connections are made using screw terminal connectors(48 terminals).
Contains 4 relays that can be used for alarm signals under software control.
32 fully programmable open collector outputs(jumper selectable)connected to IRC4 and RLC16 relay cards.

Protection and filtering:
EMI protection is provided for all inputs and outputs.
The dynamic signal input,buffered dynamic signal output and speed/phase reference input are filtered to prevent electromagnetic interference(in compliance with European Community/EC standards).

Available in”Standard”and”Independent Circuit”versions.
Supports C language and ladder logic for programming and configuration.

3.Application scenarios and functions
The Vibro-Meter IOC4T,when paired with the MPC4 Machinery Protection Card,is ideal for machinery monitoring and protection in a variety of industrial applications.It connects transmission cables from the measurement chain(sensors and/or signal conditioners)and transmits the signals to the MPC4 for processing.The processed signals can be passed back to the IOC4T and provided as outputs on the terminal strip on its front panel(rear of VM600).In addition,the IOC4T can be used to signal an MPC4 fault or a problem detected by the common alarms(Sensor OK,Warning and Danger).
