General Electric’s UR-6CH is a digital I/O module that enables UR relays to communicate with auxiliary devices through digital inputs and outputs.This special device provides 8-Form C digital output.The C-type digital output is a single pole double throw(SPDT)contact,indicating a common point connected to one normally closed contact(NC)and one normally open contact(NO).The C-type can switch between these two outputs,so it is commonly referred to as a”switching”contact.

The universal relay series was built with scalability in mind,providing hinged panels that allow access to internal module racks for easy installation and upgrades.Although there are slight differences between enhanced and regular devices when accessing module racks,both devices provide relatively easy entry points for hardware modification.
