Each of the three channels measures the input signal asynchronously and places the results into a table of values.

Each of the three input tables is passed to the associated host processor module via the corresponding I/O bus.

The input tables in each main processor module are transmitted to its neighbors via Tricon.

The intermediate value is selected by each main processor,and the input table in each main processor is modified accordingly.

In TMR mode,the control program uses median data;in duplex mode,the average value is used.

In addition,the TRICON 3721 analog input module provides two independent sets of 1×20 bipolar multiplexers suitable for general-purpose switching,including temperature measurement.Both groups can be automatically connected to the 3700A Series host backplane and optional DMM via analog backplane connection relays.
