The T8403CX ICS TRIPLEX digital input module is a member of the Input/Output(I/O)module Trusterange.All trusted I/O modules share common functionality and form.At the most universal level,all I/O modules interface with the Inter Module Bus(IMB),which provides power and allows communication with trusted TMR processors.In addition,all modules have a field for connecting to the interface for specific signals of the field module.All modules are three module redundant(TMR).

The T8403CX ICS TRIPLEX digital input module interfaces with 40 field input devices.Fault tolerance is achieved through the three module redundancy(TMR)architecture within the module,which is used for each of the 40 input channels.Each field input is three times larger,and the input voltage is measured using a Sigma Delta input circuit.Compare the obtained field voltage measurement value with the user configurable threshold voltage to determine the reported field input status.When the line monitoring device is installed at the on-site switch,this module can detect open and short circuits in the on-site cables.The line monitoring function is independently configured for each input channel.Triple voltage measurement,combined with on-board diagnostic testing,provides comprehensive fault detection and tolerance.This module provides onboard event sequence(SOE)reports with a 1ms solution.State changes trigger SOE entries.The state is determined by the voltage threshold,which can be configured on a per channel basis.
