NI SCXI-1100

The NI SCXI-1100 is a 16-channel, 8-bit analog to digital converter (ADC) module designed for use with National Instruments’ SCXI modular data acquisition (DAQ) system.

It provides high-speed analog input capabilities with a sampling rate of up to 800 kS/s and a resolution of 8 bits. The module is compatible with various types of signals, including voltage, current, thermocouple, RTD, and strain gauge measurements.

The SCXI-1100 features a multiplexed architecture, allowing up to 16 single-ended or 8 differential input channels to be scanned simultaneously. Each channel has its own programmable gain amplifier, which can be set to one of 8 different gain values ranging from 1 to 100. This flexibility allows users to optimize the measurement range and resolution for each input channel.

The module also includes several built-in features to enhance measurement accuracy, such as channel-to-channel isolation and on-board anti-aliasing filters. It interfaces with the SCXI chassis via a high-speed digital bus, allowing for easy integration with other SCXI modules for expandable and flexible DAQ systems.

The SCXI-1100 is fully supported by National Instruments’ LabVIEW software, which provides a graphical programming environment for data acquisition and analysis. It also supports programming using various other languages, such as C, C++, and Python, through NI-DAQmx driver software.
