MRU configuration software

MRU 2 is commonly used for roll and pitch measurement in offshore riser monitoring systems,dynamic positioning systems,remote communication antenna systems,and motion damping systems on high-speed ships.The device must be installed in a fixed direction relative to the ship and is most suitable for applications with limited rolling and pitching ranges.If infinite installation direction and/or range are required,it is recommended to choose an MRU model with sensors on all three axes.

MRU 2 includes two high-precision accelerometers and two MEMS angular rate gyroscopes.This device achieves high reliability by using solid-state sensors with non rotating or mechanically worn components.The device is equipped with Windows based configuration and data display software.By using a vector configuration between MRU and the center of gravity(CG)of the ship,the device will output accurate roll and pitch measurements even if MRU 2 is installed at a high position on the ship,such as on the bridge.This is due to the ability to enhance the impact of horizontal acceleration on roll and pitch performance.This makes MRU 2 superior to flow meters,swing devices,and standard vertical reference devices.

MRU 2 outputs static and dynamic roll and pitch angles,as well as corresponding angular rate vectors.The device outputs surge and sway acceleration.

MRU data can be obtained through Ethernet interfaces and serial cables,making it easy to distribute MRU data to multiple users on board.The output data is available on two separately configurable serial lines and Ethernet/UDP.The output variables are transmitted in IEEE 32-bit floating-point(recommended)or scaled integers.In addition,ASCII based NMEA 0183 proprietary statements can be chosen as the data output protocol.
