The IC698CRE030 CPU is a Pentium M redundant CPU with a rated frequency of 600 MHz.It is manufactured by GE Fanuc in the GE RX7i PACSystem series programmable logic controller components.The IC698CRE030 CPU can be installed on the VME64 backplane of the RX7i PLC.This device has a built-in Ethernet port,rated communication speed of 10 or 100 mb,and consists of two RJ-45 ports.This Ethernet port is equipped with an automatic sensing switch,which can be used for online monitoring and uploading/downloading data.The Ethernet interface on the IC698CRE030 CPU allows users to monitor the PLC through a web browser and can operate normally without the need for a hub or rack switch.The IC698CRE030 redundant CPU has 64 MB of user memory.
In addition to the dual RJ-45 Ethernet ports,the GE Fanuc IC698CRE030 Pentium-M redundant CPU also has another Ethernet port,which is the RS-232 serial port for station management and two other serial ports for RS-232 communication and RS-485 communication.All three serial ports are isolated.The RS-232 communication port has LED indicator lights for indicating port activity status,and its connector type is a 9-pin D-type female connector.This port,also known as a DCE or data communication device port,only requires a straight cable to connect.The RS-485 communication port on the IC698CRE030 CPU is also a DCE port,but a shielded cable is required for connection.The station manager port uses a through cable for RS-232 connection,just like a regular RS-232 cable.
