The Hydran M2 is economical as it is a powerful integrated transformer monitoring device that allows the power grid and other users to deploy monitoring of numerous transformers and benefit from its advanced features.

The Hydran M2 early fault alarm model monitors early faults in transformers and other oil immersed equipment through online fault gas and humidity sensors. The additional digital and analog inputs allow for monitoring of other variables in the transformer. The new transformer model expands the monitoring and asset management capabilities of Hydran M2,which can provide more decision-making assistance for equipment operation and maintenance personnel.

Transformers are crucial and expensive components in the power grid, and understanding their health is crucial for having a reliable network. When the insulation system of a transformer is subjected to excessive stress, gas dissolved in oil will be generated.Dissolved gas analysis in oil(DGA)is recognized as the best indicator of fault development.

™MM2 is a continuous online monitoring device for dissolved gases and moisture in oil, used to alert transformers of faults. It provides critical monitoring information and minimizes the risk of unplanned downtime

By connecting additional sensors(such as top and bottom tank oil temperature, transformer load,or ambient temperature),additional information can be obtained and compared with DGA and humidity values for a more in-depth analysis of the transformer’s condition.

These rich data can not only be transmitted raw using M2’s extensive communication options, but also through IEEE based®The onboard calculation of the standard transformer mathematical model is converted into useful information to provide further conditional information.

Hydra M2 is a compact, permanently installed online transformer monitoring device that can issue fault alerts to staff. It continuously monitors the comprehensive value of various faulty gases(in ppm)or only the hydrogen value(depending on the purchased sensor). In addition,it can also track the moisture in the oil(readings in%RH and ppm).

After adding additional sensors, the Hydran M2 can also comply with IEEE standards®And IEC®Standard calculation transformer mathematical model to provide more information about transformer performance.
