I.Product Overview

GE VMIVME-2510B is a member of the VMIC Megamodule family,designed with universal programming capabilities.It is compatible with the VMEbus specification,has a dual-high profile I/O connector,and supports 8-bit,16-bit,and 32-bit data transfer.The module can be used for independent board address decoding of control and data registers,as well as built-in test logic for fault detection and isolation.

II.Technical Specifications

Compatibility:Dual-high profile compatible with VMEbus specifications.

Connector Type:Dual 64-pin connector,DIN41612 compliant.

I/O Organization:Eight I/O ports,each eight bits wide,addressable to any address within the short monitor or short non-privileged I/O mapping.The eight ports are individually addressable on 8-bit or 16-bit boundaries.

Address DIP switch:Provides unlimited short data I/O address mapping selection.

Built-in test:supports real-time or offline mode to read back output data.Offline mode is enabled by writing to the control and status register(CSR)to set the TEST MODE bit.When test mode is enabled,all outputs are in a tri-state(TRI-STATE)state.Two test mode bits are provided to allow independent testing of each connector I/O(32 bits)when necessary.

Fault LED:The fault LED lights up at power-on and system reset,and can be turned off under program control after successful diagnostics.

I/O circuit:The transceiver supports high current(64mA)output.The SN74AS645 octal bus transceiver is used in the logic level TTL I/O option,and the SN74AS641 transceiver is used in the open collector option.

Power supply requirements:+5V,3.786A(maximum).
