I.Features
Fault Monitoring:
Hydran M2 is able to continuously monitor the combined value(ppm)of various fault gases or only the hydrogen value(depending on the selected sensor).
It can also track the moisture content in the oil(reading units are%RH and ppm).
Sensor Selection:
Users can choose between traditional”composite gas”sensors or more basic”hydrogen only”sensors.
Composite gas sensors are 100%sensitive to hydrogen,and can also detect carbon dioxide released by overheated paper insulation,as well as other fault gases such as carbon monoxide(paper),acetylene(arc)and ethylene(oil).
Mathematical Model Calculation:
By adding additional sensors,Hydran M2 can calculate mathematical models of the transformer according to IEEE and IEC standards,providing more information about the transformer’s performance.
These models can help estimate winding hot spot temperature,humidity in paper,moisture bubbling temperature,insulation aging,overload capacity,cooling efficiency,and OLTC temperature difference.
Communication and Integration:
Hydran M2 offers a variety of communication options and protocols,simplifying integration with SCADA or DCS.
It supports DNP3 protocol(serial interface or TCP/IP),as well as local isolated RS-232 serial interface and remote isolated RS-485 serial interface.
Alarm and Self-Test:
Hydran M2 has local and remote alarms,which will sound an alarm when abnormal levels of fault gas or moisture are detected.
It also has full system self-test and self-diagnosis functions,automatically self-tests every 15 days,and triggers a service alarm if a fault is detected(including power failure,oil valve closure,sensor failure).
