Input/Output Channels:

Contains four 20mA DC analog input channels and four 20mA DC analog output channels.

Each output channel drives an external load and generates a 0 to 20mA output.

The input/output is electrically isolated from other channels and ground.

Perform signal conversion to connect the electrical input/output signals of field sensors to the optional redundant fieldbus.

Executes analog I/O applications with configurable options for conversion time,fail-safe configuration(hold/fallback),and analog output fail-safe fallback data(per channel).

High Accuracy:

Each channel achieves high accuracy through Sigma-Delta data conversion.

The module uses Sigma-Delta data conversion on each channel,providing a new analog input reading every 25 milliseconds and a configurable integration period to eliminate any process and/or noise and power line frequencies.

Hardware Design:

Features a rugged extruded aluminum housing to provide physical protection for the circuitry.

Chassis designed specifically for mounting the FBM in accordance with ISA standard S71.04 provide varying degrees of environmental protection up to harsh environments(G3 grade).

Communications and Connectivity:

The fieldbus communication module or control processor interfaces with the redundant 2Mbps modular fieldbus used by the FBM.

The FBM accepts communications from either path(A or B)of the 2Mbps fieldbus.If one path is unsuccessful or switched at the system level,the module continues to communicate over the active path.
