F650 provides advanced monitoring and measurement,including:

Current transformer failure

F650-G-N-A-B-F-2-G-1-HI-C-E GE is a high-performance protection and interval controller that provides high-quality protection and control solutions

In the event of abnormal CT behavior or phase loss,F650 detects a change in zero sequence current to initiate CT fault events and outputs,which can be used to prevent critical protection functions.This characteristic can be suppressed by zero sequence voltage and ground/sensitive ground current.

Second harmonic suppression

F650 provides second harmonic detection,which can be used to block sensitive components,especially during transformer energization.Settings can be based on any stage,any two stages,all three stages,or the average of three stages.

VT fuse failure

Using the VT fuse fault feature to alarm and/or prevent voltage driven protection functions may result in incorrect operation due to sudden partial or total voltage loss.This loss is caused by the failure of the secondary circuit protection fuse of the voltage transformer.Different methods are used to detect the failure of different types of VT fuses.

Travel route monitoring

F650 can be used to monitor the travel of circuit breakers and the integrity of closing coils and circuits.The monitoring input monitors the battery voltage level by injecting a small amount of current into the circuit,while the output monitors the continuity of the stroke and/or closing circuit.

Event recording and oscillographic recording

F650 can store 479 or 512 events with time stamps(depending on the selected model)to assist in troubleshooting.The oscilloscope files for trigger points,channels,and sampling rates are user programmable functions.A maximum sample rate of up to five seconds can be stored
