The General Electric Emergency Overspeed Board model DS200TCEAG1BNE features a microprocessor and multiple Programmable Read Only Memory(PROM)modules.It also includes 3 fuses,30 jumpers,and a pair of bayonet connectors.The board monitors the overspeed and flame detection tripping of the drive,and shuts down the drive as needed.The card connector is used to connect the board to other devices and boards in the drive.Before connecting the male connector at the end of the cable to the female connector on the board,there are some considerations to consider.To remove the card connector,hold the connector with one hand and secure the circuit board with the other hand to prevent it from bending or moving.Pull the card connector out of the female connector on the board,and then lay the cable aside until it is ready to connect to the replacement board.
A warning is not to disconnect the bayonet connector by pulling the cable instead of the connector.Pulling the signal line out of the bayonet connector may damage the cable.Additionally,please avoid accidental contact between the bayonet connector and other components on the board.You may bend or scratch the surface of components or circuit boards.
To connect the bayonet connector,align the connector and press it into the connector on the board.After complete installation,it will snap into place.As a method of testing connections,you can gently pull the cable.
