The controller of the 9907-164 WOODWARD digital microprocessor is used to control the steam turbine by operating a single extraction and/or intake of the turbine.It utilizes the split actuators of the turbine(one or two of them)to drive the steam inlet valve.

This device,like any 505 governor module,can be configured by on-site operators on site.The menu driven software is controlled and modified by an operator control panel integrated on the front of the device.This panel displays two lines of text,each containing 24 characters.

The 9907-164 is equipped with a series of discrete and analog inputs:16 contact inputs(4 of which are dedicated and 12 of which are programmable),followed by 6 programmable current inputs,with currents ranging from 4 to 20 mA.The standard functions included in the 9907-164 function include critical speed avoidance,valve limiters,automatic start sequence,and stop first out indicator.
