The CI855-1 ABB interface module is a multifunctional and efficient solution used to facilitate communication between various devices in industrial automation systems.It ensures smooth and accurate data exchange,thereby achieving effective control and monitoring of processes.

The MasterBus 300(MB300)communication protocol is used for communication between controllers and operator stations in installations based on Advant OCS and Master software.The protocol is also implemented in the System 800xA controller AC 800M.The communication of MB 300 is achieved in AC 800M through the communication interface CI855,which is connected to the CEX-Bus through the backplane.

The TP853 motherboard is equipped with RJ45 connectors for two Ethernet ports,which are used for network redundancy and provide simple DIN rail installation.

One of the main advantages of the CI855 interface is the ability to communicate point-to-point 200/1 between the new factory portion of the system 800xA using AC 800M controllers and the existing portion using MB 300 based controllers such as Advant Controller 410,Advant Controller 450,and MasterPiece.
