Rack Interface Module(RIM):

It is the basic interface of the 3500 frame and supports Bently Nevada’s proprietary protocol for frame configuration and calling up information in the unit.

Must be located in slot 1 of the rack(near the power supply).

Provides the required connection and supports the connection of current Bently Nevada communication processors(such as TDXnet,TDIX and DDIX,etc.).

Configuration and retrieval function:

Configuration and retrieval operations are performed through proprietary protocols,supporting the reading and writing of rack and machine information.

RIM provides read-only access,allowing users to read rack and machine information,but not write or modify configuration.

Communication and connection:

Supports RS232 serial communication with a maximum data rate of 38.4k baud.

Can be connected to a compatible Bently Nevada communication processor for data communication and information exchange.

Provides a variety of LED indicators to display the module’s operating status,communication status,etc.

Security and protection:

RIM stores the configuration password to provide protection for the password entered in the rack configuration software.

Communication with the 3500 rack is only possible when the entered password matches the password entered in the rack configuration software.

Environmental adaptability:

Operating temperature range:-30°C to+65°C(-22°F to+150°F).

Storage temperature range:-40°C to+85°C(-40°F to+185°F).
