ABB SYN5202-0271 is a high-performance digital synchronizer,belonging to ABB’s SYNCHROTACT®5 series.It is mainly used for synchronous operation in power systems to ensure that the voltage,frequency and phase between the generator and the grid or other generators match,so as to achieve safe and reliable grid connection.

Main functions and features

Dual-channel design:With two independent measurement channels,two power sources(such as two generators or one generator and the grid)can be monitored simultaneously.

Automatic synchronization function:It can automatically adjust the frequency and phase of the generator to synchronize it with the grid.

Multiple protection functions:It provides overload protection,short circuit protection and undervoltage protection to ensure the safety and stability of the grid.

Automatic parallel monitoring:It can be used to monitor automatic or manual paralleling including de-energized lines.

Communication interface:Equipped with Modbus communication interface,it is convenient to exchange data with the control system.

Multiple parameter settings:It has 7 groups of parameter settings,which can be flexibly configured according to different application scenarios.
