1.Function and application

ABB SPAD346C stable three-phase differential relay provides winding short circuit and inter-turn fault protection for double-winding transformers and generator-transformer devices,and winding short circuit protection for generators.In addition,it can provide ground fault protection for the high-voltage and low-voltage windings of the transformer,as well as three-level overcurrent protection for transformers and generators and two-level backup protection for ground fault protection.

2.Operation characteristics

Adaptability:The operation characteristics of the differential relay can be easily adapted to different applications,with short operation time and stable operation even when the current transformer is partially saturated.

Prevention of false operation:The ratio of the second harmonic and fundamental components of the differential current is blocked to prevent unnecessary operation during transformer surge current.At the same time,the ratio of the fifth harmonic and fundamental components of the differential current is blocked to prevent operation in harmless cases of transformer overexcitation.If the ratio of the fifth harmonic to the fundamental component increases at high overvoltage,this blocking state can be eliminated.

3.Technical features

Digital vector group matching:dual-winding transformer protection does not require a transformer,and the high-voltage and low-voltage side digital vector group matching CT ratio correction range is wide,and accurate correction is achieved through digital settings.

Display and output:Sensitive phase current and phase angle display facilitates the inspection of the measurement circuit,with four trip and four signal relay outputs,and five programmable external control inputs for displaying and forwarding alarm and trip signals of gas relays,oil temperature sensors and other transformer auxiliary equipment sensors.

Integrated interference recording:The integrated interference recorder can record current and digital signals,with optional trigger signals,and has strong resistance to electrical and electromagnetic interference.

Continuous monitoring:The hardware and software can be continuously monitored to ensure stable operation of the equipment.

4.Module composition

ABB SPAD346C integrated differential relay consists of three independent relay modules:

Three-phase voltage-stabilized differential relay module SPCD 3D53:Provides stable differential current protection.

Ground fault relay module SPCD 2D55:measures the neutral point current and/or residual current on both sides of the protected object to achieve ground fault protection.

Overcurrent and ground fault combination relay module SPCJ 4D28:provides combined overcurrent and ground fault protection.
