57421 is a pulse speed input module created as part of the AutoMax multi bus I/O system.The main goal of this device is to become the primary connection between the pulse tachometer and the AutoMax system.This is important because it allows the system to track the speed measurement results of actual applications.

This module has a 500 volt RMS isolation.It has a 24 bit counter,a comparator,and a maximum input frequency of 100kHz.It does not have any onboard jumpers.Its input voltage is 5 V to 12 VDC.It has a 16 bit 2kHz internal timer.This module has a total of 8 registers that can be accessed by AutoMax program tasks.They can be written into or read from program tasks.

The system has multiple LED indicator lights.They are marked as CCLK OK,REVERSE,FORWARD,LATCH,CLEAR,and COUNT STOP.This module uses a mother card slot to insert into the backplane on the AutoMax storage rack.Then,the module can be secured in place using a rack and panel bracket,as well as two screws.
