The 3500/15 AC and DC power supplies are half height modules that must be installed in designated slots on the left side of the rack.A 3500 rack can contain one or two AC and DC power supplies in any combination.Any power supply can provide power to the entire rack.When two power supplies are installed in one rack,one in the lower slot is used as the main power supply,and the other in the upper slot is used as a backup power supply.If installed,the auxiliary power supply is a backup of the main power supply.As long as a second power supply is installed,removing or inserting any power module will not interrupt the operation of the rack.

The 3500/15 AC and DC power supplies can accept various input voltages and convert them into voltages that can be used by other 3500 modules.

The 3500 series mechanical protection system provides the following power supplies:

High voltage DC power supply

Low voltage DC power supply

The universal AC power supply and PIM(power input module)are not compatible with traditional 3500 AC power supply,high-voltage AC PIM,and low-voltage AC PIM.

The high-voltage and low-voltage DC power supplies and power input modules are not compatible with traditional 3500-high-voltage and low-voltage DC power supplies and PIMs.
