XPress™DR and XPress DR-IAP device servers allow almost any serial device to connect to a new or existing Ethernet.

By encapsulating serial data and transmitting it over Ethernet,XPress DR/DR-IAP allows for the establishment of virtual serial links over Ethernet.By using these units,limited distance,point-to-point,and direct serial connections can now be extended within factories,entire facilities,or global enterprises.

When used in conjunction with OPC servers,most are based on Windows®HMI,SCADA,and PC based control applications can fully access the information in the connected devices.Existing Windows based on COM ports®Applications can access network enabled devices using our Com Port Redirector software.The redirector software allows the creation of virtual serial ports that can be mapped to remote device servers through Ethernet and connected to XPress DR and XPress DR-IAP.

XPress DR-IAP installable communication drivers provide specific support for various industrial communication protocols.With native support for these protocols,devices that previously only allowed one connection can now support multiple connections simultaneously.

Flexible configuration options allow for setting up devices locally using a serial port,or remotely using Telnet or a universal web browser over Ethernet.DeviceInstaller™1 is a Windows based product®The configuration software can simplify installation and configuration,support accessing Web Manager and Telnet communication,and perform ping operations on connected devices through the network.Flash memory provides maintenance free,non volatile storage,and allows for future system upgrades.

XPress DR and XPress DR-IAP are installed in sturdy DIN rail enclosures with 2000V current isolation,1500V Ethernet isolation,wide operating range from 0°to 60°C,and 9-30VDC/9-24VAC power input,suitable for almost any industrial application.
