3.Wiring and configuration
Wiring mode:supports single-ended wiring,differential wiring,and high-speed mode differential wiring.
Single-ended wiring:All input devices are connected to a common ground,allowing one side of the signal input to be compared with the signal ground to generate digital data.This method maximizes the number of available channels for the module.
Differential wiring:Differential wiring should be used when the application may have separate signal pairs or common ground is not available,and when the environment’s immunity needs to be improved.But the channels are not completely isolated from each other.
High-speed mode differential wiring:This method should be used when data updates are required as quickly as possible.But please note that this mode only allows one of every four channels on the module to be used.
Configuration flexibility:Most ControlLogix controllers are capable of handling up to 4000 analog I/O signals,and the number of installed instances of the 1756-IF8 module is almost unlimited.

Main functions:including module filters,underrange/overrange detection,process alarms,wire break detection,multiple input ranges,real-time sampling,digital filters,and rate alarms.
