1746-P2 A-B chassis power supply is a high-performance power module launched by A-B company, designed specifically for A-B series PLCs,providing stable and reliable power support.
1746-2 is an SLC500 power supply. The nominal input voltage of this power supply is 120/220 volts AC.Its internal current capacity is 5V,24V,5V,0.96A.It provides a 24VDC voltage output and built-in fuse protection.
1746-2 is an SLC500 modular power supply. Its input voltage is 85-132 or 170-265V AC at 47-63 Hz.The current internal capacity of 5V is 5A,and 24V is 0.96A.This power supply also has the maximum user provided overcurrent protection of 15A and the maximum surge current of 20A.It has a typical power demand of 180VA,an input terminal, and a planar isolated 1800V AC RMS1S.The user power of a 24 volt DC power supply is 200 milliamperes, and the user power voltage range of a 24 volt DC power supply is 18-30 volt DC power supply.
Each terminal can have up to two dedicated working group wires. The 1746-2 power supply has a fuse protection function, but is limited to protecting against fire hazards in short circuit conditions. It is equipped with an open housing and can only be installed on the 1746 chassis. The entire power supply is 5.5×2.9×5.7 inches, weighing 1.1 kilograms or 2.5 pounds. Its operating temperature is 0-60 degrees Celsius.Celsius degrees.
This power module has a jumper terminal used to set the input voltage for application to the device.
When low voltage operation occurs, the 1746-P-2 power supply will continue to supply power to the SLC500 controller for a short period of time. When the power supply continues to receive input voltage below the recommended operating range, the controller will shut down.Only when the power supply receives the recommended input voltage will it automatically resume operation
For overcurrent situations,1746-2 series A and B will experience power shutdown and CPU failure. The recovery process involves reloading the user program. For the 1746-2 series C,it will have a 24V DC user shutdown, but the CPU will continue its operation and recovery program to correct the overcurrent situation.
1746-P-2 is a power module designed primarily for use with the SLC500 automation system platform. This power supply is installed on the left side of the SLC chassis.
The installation location of this power supply is not included in the slot count. The slot count starts at slot 0(0),which is reserved for the programmable logic controller(PLC)processor or SLC500 communication adapter.
When the front cover of the power supply is opened, the front panel of the power supply is exposed. This power supply has five(5)terminals,jumper pins, and internal fuses. These terminals are designed to accommodate AC line connections and DC power connections. One terminal serves as the ground terminal. The internal fuse has an equal part number to replace 1746-F2.Jumper pins are used to set the correct input voltage settings, whether it is 100/120VV or 200/240VV.
Avoid using arcs when using power.Disconnecting or connecting the wires of the active power supply may generate an arc, which may damage the electronic backplane. It is important to perform operations when the input power is inactive. The power module itself is sensitive to voltage surges that may occur when starting high induction loads. To avoid damaging the power module,an isolation transformer can be installed to prevent voltage surges into the power supply.
This power supply has a dwell time of 20MS(full load)and 3000MS(no load). This feature allows the PLC processor to continue running even when the power input voltage is below the nominal power level.
application area
The 1746-P2 A-B chassis power supply is widely used in industrial automation, mechanical equipment control, process control and other fields, suitable for various occasions that require A-B series PLCs.
