The National Instruments SCXI-1104C(part numbers:776572-04C,183087H-05)voltage input module has 32 differential channels and is specifically designed for signal conditioning of higher voltage signals.This model is equipped with a 10 kHz cutoff frequency filter.If users want to use NI SCXI-1104C in a ribbon cable multi chassis SCXI system,they need to use SCXI-1346 multi chassis adapter.If the user chooses not to automatically detect the SCXI module,a separate module must be added.This can be achieved by following the instructions in the user manual.
When using the software,users can connect pins 1,2,4,or 19 to the analog ground of the voltage input module.Users can use the pin connected to the analog ground as the analog power ground connection point for SCXI-1104C.An important fact to remember is that the NI SCXI-1104C analog output does not have overvoltage protection.Therefore,applying external voltage to the output may damage the module.However,the analog output has short-circuit protection.The recommended preheating time for this device is 20 minutes and the operating temperature is between 0 and 50°C.
SCXI-1104C can calibrate the module by applying precision voltage to the channel input and/or grounding the channel input.The module should be recalibrated at least once a year,or recalibrated at any time when operating outside the specified temperature range.The NI SCXI-1104C voltage input module can be calibrated using a multi range 8.5 digital multimeter.The cutoff frequency of this device is 10 kHz.When the user completes the measurement using NI software,the driver program will automatically adjust the measured voltage to the correct value using a calibration constant.
NI-DAQ version 6.5.1(or higher)is the software driver used when running SCXI-1104C.To install drivers,an application development environment is required,such as LabVIEW,BridgeVIEW,LabWindows/CVI,Visual Basic(ComponentWorks),C,C++,VirtualBench,or Measure.This device has a 50 pin male ribbon cable rear connector and a 96 pin male DIN C front connector.
