The National Instruments cFP-AI-111 16 Channel Analog Current Input Module is a 16 channel input module used to directly measure milliampere current signals from various sensors and converters.The top-down design of NI cFP-AI-111 aims to improve productivity and reliability,providing filtered low-noise analog inputs with 16 bit resolution,as well as over range,HotPnP(plug and play)operation,and onboard diagnostic functions to ensure free installation and maintenance for troubleshooting.The cFP-AI-111 module comes with NIST traceable calibration certificates to ensure accurate and reliable analog measurements.
The NI cFP-AI-111(part number:777318-111)is designed specifically for FieldPoint and Compact FieldPoint and is a 16 channel,16 bit analog input module.The channel on this model is a single ended analog input channel.Its input impedance is 100Ω.This model also has three filter settings:50 Hz,60 Hz,and 500 Hz,as well as three input ranges:±20 mA,4 mA to 20 mA,and 0mA to 20 mA.In addition,the update rate of the device is 3 Hz to 0.83 Hz.NI cFP-AI-111 provides integrated overvoltage protection for transients up to 2300 Vrms.This analog input module can be installed on a running and powered Compact FieldPoint backplane as it does not interrupt the continuous operation of the bank.
The 16 input channels on the NI cFP-AI-111 module share a common isolated ground reference.These input channels operate under integrated overcurrent protection set to±30 mA.In current measurement,the current entering the Iin terminal is considered positive,while the current leaving the terminal(Iin)is considered negative.This analog input module
It includes an over range function that causes the measurement results of the equipment to exceed the nominal value of each range by 5%.Therefore,users will be able to measure±21 mA while selecting a range of±20 mA.The filter provided in this device provides three settings for each channel.These filters are comb filters;Therefore,they can provide suppression of notch at any harmonic or multiple of the fundamental frequency.At the fundamental frequency,apply 95 dB suppression and provide at least 60 dB suppression at the harmonics.
