The National Instruments FP-TB series consists of universal terminal blocks for FieldPoint I/O systems,which can accept any FieldPoint I/O module and provide convenient screw or spring terminals for field wiring connections.After installation,the FieldPoint terminal block also forms a local bus to transmit communication and power to the I/O module.The FP-TB-1/2 terminal block can be used with any FieldPoint module(except for the dual channel series),and you can mix and use them on the same FieldPoint group.The FP-TB-3 module is designed specifically for use with the FP-TC-120 thermocouple module.

FP-TB-1 is a screw terminal FieldPoint terminal base with 36 channels.FP-TB-1 is compatible with any FieldPoint I/O module(except for dual channel modules).The terminal block can provide convenient on-site wiring connections through screw terminals.The manufacturer of the terminal base is National Instruments.The terminal block is easy to inspect and has part number 777519-01.The NI FP-TB-1 can be used with any FieldPoint module,except for dual channel modules.

FP-TB-1 can be clamped,locked,and installed on panels or DIN rails.However,before installing the network module,please remember that its power should not be active under any power supply.The NI FP-TB-1 has 36 channels,of which 4 are dedicated channel terminals and 32 numbered terminals are defined by the I/O module.Half of the dedicated channel terminals in the terminal base are V channels,while the rest are C channels.The maximum current of these terminals should be limited to 10 A or less.If the current is below 3 A,a single terminal can be used as the return path.The maximum operating voltage of NI equipment is 250 V(channel to ground,CAT II)FP-TB-1

There is a thermal gradient in the system due to various reasons such as cold and hot airflow,thermocouple wires,and heat generated by adjacent modules.The NI FP-TB-1 terminal wiring is made of copper wire with standard 16-26 AWG insulation removed from the end.Copper wire is usually used,unless different wire materials are required for sensing instruments such as thermocouples.
