Product Description
SCXI-1140 is a differential amplifier module designed specifically for signal conditioning in data acquisition systems.
feature
8)Simultaneously sampling input channels
±30 V maximum overvoltage protection,powered on
Connection of external sampling and holding timing signals
The National Instruments SCXI-1140 is an 8-channel synchronous sampling differential amplifier module. Each channel contains a high input impedance instrument amplifier, whose gain can be selected by a switch, followed by a tracking and holding(T/H)amplifier.The T/H amplifier tracks simultaneously, which is very useful for maintaining the phase relationship between channels.Users can run T/H output on eight different input channels of the DAQ device,or they can multiplex the output of one or more modules into one channel of the DAQ device.
The SCXI-1600 USB data acquisition module can be used in conjunction with this module to create a fully plug and play USB data acquisition system.A specific system requires an SCXI chassis to accommodate the SCXI-1600 and various SCXI modules. The SCXI-1000 chassis can accommodate up to 4 modules, while the SCXI-1001 can accommodate up to 12 modules.
The NI SCXI-1140(part number:776572-40)is a synchronous sampling differential amplifier module. This module has 8 channels and external timing signal connections. This module is compatible with NI-DAQmx measurement service software. Therefore, the configuration remains simple and clear. This module can be used with NB series data acquisition boards with LabVIEW for Macintosh. This device can also be used with NI-DAQ software for Macintosh.
This device has a voltage of 15 V/μThe sec channel outputs a slew rate and a frequency spectrum density of 12 nv/√Hz input noise,as well as a frequency spectrum density of 75 nv/√Hz output noise. The NI SCXI-1140 can operate at a maximum output voltage of±10 V.The NI SCXI-1140 is equipped with three dedicated jumpers:W11,W13,and W14,for communication between the SCXIbus and the data acquisition board. The SCXI-1140 differential amplifier module is equipped with a DIP switch programmable instrument amplifier, buffer tracking and holding amplifier, multiplexer, and output switch.
The input protection of National Instruments SCXI-1140 has a series connected 1 kΩresistor. Each input terminal of this module is protected.SCXI-1140 has four basic types of scanning modes, such as single module parallel and multiplexing scanning. This module has two registers. The ID register is a four byte register with read-only functionality. On the other hand, the configuration register is a 32-bit write only register. There is also a configuration register that users cannot access. It is a 32-bit register designed to handle control and function related tasks of SCXI-1140.
application area
The SCXI-1140 NI differential amplifier module is commonly used in industries such as research, testing, and measurement, industrial automation, and scientific instruments.
