The IS220PAICH1A model is described as an analog I/O module and has been approved for use in hazardous and non hazardous locations.There are four indicator lights on the front of the model.There is also a port at the bottom called the I/O port.The PAIC group can use multiple voltages,with a minimum voltage of 27.4 volts DC for the PAIC group.
Due to the ability of the IS220PAICH1A package to be used in multiple locations,there are various certifications related to it,some of which are hazardous locations,Level 1 Zone 2 Group IIC,Level 1 Zone 2 Group A,B,C,D,as well as ATEX Zone 2,Group IIC,and non hazardous locations.
The IS220PAICH1A device can be used in three models,namely IS200STAIH1A,IS200STAIH2A,and IS20TBAIH1C.All of these models are referred to as input output terminal boards.
The typical location for the PAIC I/O package is one of two available VME racks,namely 13 or 21 slot racks.Please note that this unit is typically used in conjunction with a triple modular redundant architecture system.The TMR system has separate control modules,I/O networks,and main processor cards.
