The ACC-5595-208 350-805595-208N Reflective Memory Hub component is a managed hub designed to run alongside the GE Fanuc/VMIC 5565 series of reflective memory real-time network products.When the reflective memory hub detects signal loss or loss of effective synchronization mode,it can automatically bypass ports,allowing other nodes in the network to remain operational.Due to the fact that optical ports are implemented through Small Form Factor Pluggable(SFP)transceivers,only the required ports need to be filled in.The VMIACC-5595 SFP transceiver can be a combination of multimode(short range)or single node(long range)transceivers.This feature can save costs on small networks and optimize the system.For larger networks,multiple VMIACC-5595 components can be cascaded,allowing the management of a hub array with up to 256 nodes.Each port will regenerate a serial optical signal to eliminate issues of insertion loss and cable attenuation.Signal regeneration can also reduce jitter.The RS232 port can monitor and control the reflective memory network through a simple PC serial port.Ethernet port functionality allows users to remotely monitor and control hubs through a local area network(LAN)or web browser

ACC-5595-208 350-805595-208N can be configured as a 19 inch 1U rack cabinet or desktop cabinet.Universal power supplies allow operation under almost any international power standard.

When a lack of effective synchronization mode is detected,ACC-5595-208 350-805595-208N will automatically bypass the port.Three LEDs near each port provide visual indication of port status.Other status indicators and operating modes can be obtained through serial or Ethernet ports.

The status information includes detection of installed transceivers,detection of signals(optical),detection of effective synchronization modes,and port operation speed(2Gb/s).The control register allows channel bypass based on the absence of a single valid synchronization mode or multiple synchronization modes.The bypass can also be based solely on the loss of signal(light).In addition,regardless of the status indicator light,each port can be manually forced to be in an active or bypass state.
